MN 25 channel
MN 25 channel (MN 25 суваг) is a commercial television established in 1996. It is ranked among the top ten televisions by audience shares. MN 25 was the first private television in Mongolia which launched its programs in September 1996. The television was founded by "АE and JAAG LLC" owned by Sh. Otgonbileg, Ts. Baldorj, L.Jargalsaikhan, Z.Altai, A.Avirmed, D.Galsanjargal. The channel produces and broadcasts programs 19 hours per day. It has 110 full time employees. It is financed by program sales and advertisement revenues. Intially AE and JAAG LLC shares were distributed among its owners in the following way: Ts. Baldorj and Sh.Otgonbileg owned 25.5 percent each, while L.Jargalsaikhan, Z.Altai, A.Avirmed and D.Galsanjargal owned together 49 percent. (The name of the company consists of initials of its owners.) The company later expanded into Mongol News Group, but there is no information on current distribution of ownership shares. For sure, the following persons (children and family members of previous owners) have shares: B. Nandintushig, D. Tuya, Z. Altai, A. Namuujin, D.G alsanjargal, L. Jargalsaikhan. The daughter of late Ts. Baldorj is now the General director of Mongol News.It is assumed that O. Sodbileg, a member of Parliament and the son of late Sh, Otgonbileg, one of the founders of AE & JAAG LLC, has influence on the company decisions. According to the Income and Assets Statement of MP’s released by the Independent Anti-corruption Agency, O. Sodbileg does not have shares in the Mongol News Group but he is [the sole owner of Ajigana Mongol Media Group](http://www.ikon.mn/n/uw7). However, one of the shareholders of Mongol News, D. Tuya, is the mother of O. Sodbileg. There are also assumptions that the former President of Mongolia N. Bagabandi [might have invested into the Mongol News Group](http://news.gogo.mn/r/105670). The general director of MN 25 Channel, Z.Altai is a journalist by profession. He has been working as the director of the television since 1996. In the years 2008-2012 he was a member of Parliament. His daughter A. Enkhzul is currently the executive director of the MN 25 Channel.
