UBS Television

Ulaanbaatar Broadcasting System - UBS Television was founded in 1992. UBS Television ranks among the top 10 based on consumer market ratings. UBS television, formerly known as “Ulzii” television, was established under Ulaanbaatar City Administration and first aired on 15 September 1992. In 2002, the ownership of the television was transferred to the City Council. In 2007 it was fully privatized, after operating under a private management contract for three years since 2004. The vision of UBS television is top production and creative solutions, and to work as a just, equitable, and professional television through promoting the Mongolian ideal and global culture. (http://ubs.mn/article/19) UBS television produces and broadcasts a variety of contents ranging from politics, socio-economy, discovery, arts and culture, sports, entertainment, reality show, and talk shows. Since 2009, the television successfully premiered Mongolia’s first international song festival, “Universe best songs 2009”, when it was celebrating its 7th year of production that year. The television consists of three channels, including UBS channel I, UBS Global channel II, and Ulzii television, each has its own unique features and content production.
