Ms. Sarangerel Davaajantsan
Sarangerel Davaajantsan, the General Director of Gegeen Dalai Group, is also a Member of Parliament for Mongolian Peoples’ Party (MPP). In an interview with Uls Turyn Toim newspaper, she said: “Everbody knows that TV 5 is owned by me, therefore, people see anything published there in relation with me. I will tell you the truth. It is no secret that TV 5 broadcasts more about MPP than other parties. I will not try to conceal this. … Although, it is only my second year to be visibly present in the Party, I have been supporting this Party for 20 years. Indeed, I supported the Mongolian Peoples’ Party already with my journalistic work in the best of my abilities. … I have been closely related to this Party for more than 20 years since I came back after graduating.” (https://www.news.mn/content/print/122703) The owner and General Director of the company group was born in 1962. She has a major in journalism and worked for the Mongolian National Broadcaster as journalist, senior editor, general editor for the “MM” agency, editor in the Social and Economic division, and used to hold the position of the President of Mongolian Journalists’ Association. During 2011-2012, she also held the position of Secretary of the Mongolian Peoples’ Party. In 2016, she was elected as a Member of Parliament.
