State owned
The owner of Montsame Agency is the State. The Prime Minister appoints the director of the agency. After the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) won the election Ms. Ganchimeg B was appointed as the director of the agency in October 2016. She started her journalism career at the state published “Ardyn Erkh” newspaper in 1996. Afterwards, she worked for various newspapers such as “Udriin Sonin” and “Undesnii Shuudan”. In 2014 she established the “Open Door” newspaper in 2014 and was the Chief Editor of the newspaper. She has been awarded with “Altangadas” and “Mongolian Cultural Achievement Honor” for her accomplishments in the journalism sector. Her journalism products are very popular amongst the public. She is reputable and influential figure among journalists.
