NTV

NTV television (NTV телевиз) is a commercial television established in 2006. It is ranked among the top 10 televisions by audience shares. The television’s slogan is “Optimistic tone, original angle." Initially the broadcast programs covered the territory of the capital city only, but starting in 2009 NTV broadcasts nationwide. In 2013 it switched to the Full HD technology. The channel produces programs of 7000 minutes each week, including information on political, economic and social issues, historical, cultural, sports content and entertainment programs. The government appointed regulatory commission CRC stated in 2016 that the special license of the NTV is hold by NTV Broadcasting LLC. (http://www.crc.gov.mn/k/U/5H) NTV Broadcasting LLC is a daughter company of the Media group LLC, 50 percent of which is owned by G. Batkhuu. He is a member of the Democratic Party (DP) and former MP (2004 – 2016) and was vice speaker of the parlianment. He is also chairman of the board of Shunkhlai group, which has businesses in petroleum industry, beverage production, logistics, mining, finance, health, real estate, communications and infrastructure sectors. There are anecdotal evidences that the remaining 50 percent of Media Group LLC is owned by his younger brother P. Batsaikhan.
